Assalamualaikum world 🙂
Hi! hows your day? I hope it is full joys and happiness..
Apparently, I have been craving for Korean food for about few weeks. Since that, I started my food hunting through google and of course I search for “Korean Halal Food“..Through my searching, I have found two interesting places that catch my eyes which are Korean House and Mr Dakgalbi..
There are totally huge differences between these two restaurants. Korean House offers you varieties of food in their menu and most of the menu are commonly heard in the korean drama. Definitely, the K-drama lovers will go for it 🙂 I bet it taste delicious since i seen a lot of good reviews from the Korean House restaurant. However, the price pretty pricey but it gave you in a big portion.(I must try this restaurant next time)
The reasons behind I chose Mr Dakgalbi is that the price is reasonable.. NO… that is only my thought through my searching. and.. and… its offer you less varieties of food.,heww.. (I think you should google first the menu, other than that, it will disappoint you).
So, what i just ordered from Mr Dakgalbi were:
- A set of fried rice + ramen ( for 2-3 persons)- RM 47.00
- Dakgalbi-RM 17.00
- Honey Lemon (2)- RM 12.00
- GST- RM4.56
Total up: RM80.55…What RM80.55????
At first moment, i thought the set is at reasonable price, however, that set only offers you fried rice and ramen with “sambal” only, no chicken or meats as the food flavors. It taste plain and chilies only. Thats why me and my friend ordered, Dakgalbi (chicken with sambal paste). These set also came with few dishes such as salad, soup, kimchi and cabbage with mayonnaise..to help you cut the cost, if you didn’t ordered for drinks, they served you with plain water (basically, it includes in their service). So, save money, don’t buy drinks..hahaha.
The uniqueness about Mr Dakgalbi is that, the staff will cook in front of you. Yess !! on top of your table (above picture). Only that 🙂
Let me reviews on the taste of the food. As for me, there is nothing special taste on the food. Overall it taste ‘sambal’. Eventhough, there is ramen, they use the same paste as the fried rice. The soup was cold. The kimchi just okey. Without the extra dishes, it will taste very plain. Out of 5, I would rate as 2. There is nothing special about the taste. Until now, the things that i remember only the sambal taste.
But, if you want to try it out, just go for it. It is just my personal opinion. 🙂
Keep eating..keep hunting the food and keep smiling 🙂
